Paneer tikka pizza | fusion cooking | Episode 011

Exotic paneer tikka pizza, combining best of the flavors from two different cuisines!

For paneer tikka:
Mix of green peppers, onion and tomato – as required
Paneer – as required
Sunflower oil – as needed for frying

For marinade:
Tikka masala – 2-3 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1.5 tsp
Roasted channa dal powder + besan flour – 2 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1.5 tsp
Salt – as needed
Yogurt – 2-2.5 tbsp
Mustard oil – 2 tbsp

For tikka masala:
Kashmiri red chili powder – ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Cumin powder – ½ tsp
Coriander powder – ½ tsp
Garam masala powder – ¼ tsp
Dry mango powder – ¼ tsp
Chaat masala powder – ½ tsp
Black pepper powder – ¼ tsp
Kasoori methi crushed – ½ tsp
Chilli flakes – 1/4 tsp

For pizza:
Pizza dough – ¼ pound dough made into thin crust
Marinara sauce – ½ cup or as needed
Mozarella cheese – as needed

1. Mix all ingredients for marinade except lemon juice and mustard oil
2. Heat mustard oil and add to the marinade paste and add lemon juice, mix together into a nice paste
3. Add marinade paste to veggies and paneer and marinate for 1-2 hours at least
4. Heat a pan and fry the paneer veggies in some sunflower oil until the paneer and veggies and brown and charred
5. Oil the pizza pan, add the rolled out pizza dough to the pan
6. Preheat the oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit
8. Bake the pizza base in the preheated oven for 10 minutes
9. Add marinara sauce, paneer tikka topping and cheese to the partly cooked pizza base
10. Bake the pizza for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is nicely melted and brown or lesser for just melted cheese
